Language and Cognition Lab is a part of the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences in the Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati. It fosters and promotes interdisciplinary research with collaboration of different disciplines such as Linguistics, Psychology, Design, and Cognitive Science.

The lab focusses on various research from the perspective of cognitive psychology including laterality of Cognitive Functions, Visual Word Recognition, Bilingualism and visuals.

Currently, it is a partner institution of the Integrated Track in Brain and Cognitive Sciences (iBrain) network supported by Erasmus + programme of European Union.

The Language and Cognition Lab and the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, as a part of the iBrain initiative, will organize a number of activities that include training workshops in methods in Cognitive Science, Psychology, and Linguistics.
